GIFT OF DANCE

Over the past decade & a half, Gift of Dance has been morphed into what it is today under the previous studio owners of Ruley Bartie & Amanda Klotz.  

As a well-travelled Canadian, Amanda Klotz gave Gift of Dance an international edge. Bringing international teachers to host classes, workshops, etc. As well as participating in global competitions held in Arizona, Croatia & more Her versatile talent allowed Gift of Dance to expand as well, hosting classes in Hip Hop, Tap, Modern & Acro.

With the latest handover of the reins in 2023, Caitlin Philp has ushered Gift of Dance into a new era.

With a prominent background in Ballet & Modern, Caitlin has built a strong foundation in the addition of Ballet to the studio, when she joined as a staff member in 2019.

​

The goal of our dance studio is to tap into that gift & enrich our dancers at an early age.

To offer as many unique opportunities through the medium of dance as possible.

Not only to perform on stage, or face the world of exams, but for them to grow as individuals.

​

We offer studio concerts, competitions and exams - allowing dancers to experience the full world of dance.

At the end of each year, our studio alternates between a show year or an exam year.

We participate in various competitions locally, nationally and internationally throughout the year regardless of exam or show year.

​

Gift of dance is based in Durbanville.

We have classes at our Village Square Studio, Durbanville Preparatory School & Durbanville Primary School.

We have extracurricular dance in Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Modern, Tap, Ballet & Acro for preschool to late teens.

We also offer vocational ballet and contemporary classes for dancers that seek to dance/perform or teach professionally.
